In this video, Mauro Biglino examines the Book of Enoch through a linguistic and textual approach, challenging later symbolic and theological interpretations of its contents.
Drawing on his work with interlinear biblical translations produced for Vatican-approved publications, Biglino presents the Elohim not as a singular, abstract deity, but as a plurality of powerful beings operating within the physical world. The Book of Enoch recounts the descent of the Watchers, their unions with human women, and the birth of the Nephilim, events described as causing profound disruption in early human history.
These same accounts describe the Watchers imparting forbidden knowledge to humanity, including the workings of the solar system, incantations, and magic. Central to this narrative is Enoch himself, presented as a mediator who travels back and forth with the Elohim, moving between Earth and their abode above while receiving instruction and carrying messages between realms.
Read literally, these ancient texts describe ascent, movement through the sky, and the transmission of advanced knowledge. This exploration invites viewers to consider whether such accounts preserve early human memories of encounters with a technologically advanced non-human presence, challenging conventional assumptions about ancient history and the beings who shaped it.
