Paul, you reference Plato quite a bit. Can you recommend a good book of his writings?

I did find this on Amazon, but it looks like a recent translation (which may be just fine), but I am looking for something that is most true to his original works.

For Plato I recommend starting with Phaedo and then Timaeus and Critias. The translations I have enjoyed reading are those by Penguin Classics and Oxford Classics. As for being "most true to his original words" it is always worth taking time with the editor's prefaces, introductions and footnotes, as they will often identify critical questions re translation choices. What would be great to get hold of, though I have never seen one, is a Plato interlinear to then use with a lexicon. I like the look of the edition you have found and think I will add it to my Plato library. Let me know how you get on with it.
