One of the oldest words in the world is 'Lugh'.
It means 'Great'. In Turkish, it is Ulugh, meaning 'Great'.
Ulugh Beg is the nickname of a 15th century Persian Astronomer and King. He was a genius, deriving the length of a year before Nicholas Copernicus, and he wrote Trig Tables.
Much earlier in Scotland, the deity Lugh was honoured.
My other thread says the star of origin was called Toxalonta, or Pi 3 Orionis in our heavens.
Since then, I have ascertained the travellers from there introduced themselves as the "Lugulyra."
This got me intrigued, due to Ulugh Beg's name in Turkish.
Ulyra, in Turkish means Ultra, so the two words together meant 'Great Ultra', or in reverse notation ( like Welsh ), Ultra Great.
